From October 17th to 19th 2017, the Time Æon Foundation attended one of the most important events in the watch industry, the “Salon Internacional Alta Relojería” (SIAR), which took place in Mexico.
Following its philosophy and its main mission, which is to preserve the crafts associated with fine watchmaking and help pass them on to new generations, the Time Æon Foundation went to Mexico and hosted its renowned workshop.
The workshop took place in the magnificent Time Æon Foundation exhibition space, where a workbench and watchmaker tools were set up. During three days, three passionate students had the opportunity to learn from Michel Boulanger, former student of Philippe Dufour, for the second consecutive year.
During these two days, they had to be very patient and meticulous. They learned about the basics of a number of traditional techniques of decoration, which included practicing on movement parts and decorating a bridge.
The SIAR 2017 was a successful and fruitful edition. In fact, the Time Æon Foundation had the chance to transmit traditional craftsmanship and would like to give special thanks to Tiempo de Rejoles for its support and warm welcome.
